Jangri-Indian sweet recipe

Jangri is very famous Indian sweet found all over India. Every Indian feels mouth watery when they saw jangri. I think its because of its attractive color. And i am not exception in that because i just love jangri. My long days dream is to make jangri in home. Suddenly i saw this in Rak's Kitchen. They given it very easily with nice explanation and i am thankful for rak's kitchen because it came out really well in my first try itself. I just jumped out in joy.. Hurray :) :) :)...

My dad did not believe that i maked this in home. He thought i bought this from shop. Then atlast my mom explained him then he smiled at me :) and said well done :) :). I became very happy after i hear this from him because he dont like wasting things in kitchen.. So today i escaped from him..Again Hurray :) :) :)

Ingredients:

For Batter:

Whole white urad dal- 3/4 cup
Rice flour- 1 tsp(optional)
Orage food color- 1/2 pinch
Salt- a pinch

For Sugar syrup:

Sugar- 3/4 cup
Orange food color- 1/2 pinch
Lemon juice- 1/2 tsp
Rose essence/Elachi powder- 4 drops
Water- as sugar dissolved in water

Preparation:

1. Soak urad dal for 2 hrs then grind it with little water(like vada batter). The batter should be
    fluffy and smooth.

2. After grind add salt,food color and rice flour. If you are grind using  grinder then no need to add
    rice flour.If you grind in mixer mean then you should add. Since today i grind in mixer i added 1 tsp
    of rice flour here.

3. In the mean time heat sugar with water. After one string consistency add lemon juice, food color,
   essence and mix everything gently. If you did not have essence dont worry :(.. Still you can add
   elachi  power :) :)..

4. Now take one zip lock cover and make a tiny hole in it. And pour that batter into it and tie it with band.

5. Dont start immediatly in oil. First try out in the plate.

6. Then keep a flat pan with 1 inch of oil. Let it be in low flame always.

7. Now draw jangri as per your desired shape in pan. Turn carefully after its color changed. Once it
    became  like crips. Take carefully from oil and transfer into sugar syrup. Let it there for 2 mins.
    Then remove from syrup carefully and arrange in plate.

8. I assure you it will come very well in first time itself when you did everything properly. so all the best

Note:

1. If you are trying first time mean then draw small jangri's.

2. Before draw in oil try out once in plate.

3. Flame should always be in low this prevents jangri to blow bigger one.
