We all have heard of mint or pudina, as an ingredient in chutney or as a garnish in a subzi. It adds that special zing to almost all foods it is added to. But it is much more than just a garnish, the humble mint leaves have a number of health benefits that you probably didn’t know about.Here are some

4.Helps fight oral infections
So today we will learn how to make simple pudhina/mint chutney.

Ingredients:
Pudhina/mint leaves - 1 bunchGreen chilli - 5 to 6 no
Grated coconut - 2 tsp
Tamarind - little (size of peanut)
Mustard seed - 1/2 ts
urad dal - 1/2ts
Salt
Oil
Preparation:
1. Heat a tsp of oil in a pan and fry the chillies and keep it as side.
2. Then in the remaining oil saute the pudhina leaves and keep it separatly.
3. Atlast fry the tamarind in the same heat.
4. Grind all those with grated coconut, salt and little water.
5. Atlast heat a mustard seed and urad dal in little oil and add it in chutney.
6. This chutney goes well with idly,dosa and side dish for rice.Enjoy with chutney :-)
